The shop has been partly destocked to add to the pile, but will be restocked next week with lots more goodies.  The KnitPro stuff will have arrived by then too, with more sizes of dpn’s, amongst other things.

I’ll leave you with a sunny yarny picture in the colour for Septembers Sockdown:Ravelry! 2009-2010 challenge.  A specially comissioned Nancy Bush mystery sock pattern in yellow!! Can’t wait to cast on!

Important info for week beginning 1st August

As we will be sunning (!) ourselves on the Essex coast next week, there will be no posting out of parcels.  The shop will stay open but the first day orders will be posted will be Monday August 10th.

I’ve googled wool shops and discovered that Clacton-on-Sea next door has a shop of woolly interest, but by far the most significant thing is that P&M Woolcraft is en route.   Oh, dear….oh very, very dear.  OK,  so I need a tensioned lazy kate.  No I do.  I wonder if I could get a Lendrum thrown in the deal, hmmmmm, <drums fingers thoughtfully>.  I’ll pop a bit of fluff in my handbag – there’s Majacraft to play with as well………….

Apologies for any inconvenience

Fiddlehead Scarf

Just take a look at this!  It is Anne Hanson’s Fiddlehead Scarf beautifully knitted for me by the talented Linz in time to be displayed at Wonderwool.

It is knitted with just one skein of Glisten, and Linz went down one needle size in order to showcase the yarn rather than the lace pattern.  It is so beautiful and drapes like a dream.

Star Crossed again

Here is Chantelle’s lovely Star Crossed Beret. Don’t the colours work well with the texture?  It’s knitted on Big Softy colour 7005, and I heart it!  :D

Well, where are the needles then?

I know, I know.  They haven’t arrived yet, but there is a good reason for that.  Knitpicks are changing their logo and packaging from 1st December, and they gave me the option of waiting a few weeks for the new stuff, which they didn’t have to do.  So that’s what were waiting for, meaning also that we will be one of the first retailers to have the new look products. Yipee! To further enhance your Knitpicks enjoyment, we will also be having some gorgeous, gorgeous fabric dpn cases, for that extra luxurious treat for someone, or for yourself!  Just have to wait a couple more weeks…………

Sweet Baby too!

Sweet Feet is a great standard 4ply, and the soft merino bamboo mix makes it ideal for baby clothes.  Pattern is from Patons Little Babies, vol 2, design six in size c, premature, with added pretty bits.  One skein and still plenty for the bootees
